Come in and sit down

We are on Market Row in Brindle Cross, between the bakery and the bike shop. Pushchairs fit, dogs are welcome, and nobody minds if you read on the floor.

Questions

Can you order a book you don't have?

Almost always, usually within two days. Ask in the shop, by email or with the form below.

Do I need to book story time?

No, just come along on Saturday at ten. Workshops are booked, because places are limited.

Do you wrap presents?

Yes, free, in our paper with a moon on it. Tell us who it is for and we will write the label.

Is the shop accessible?

There is a step-free entrance and room for pushchairs and wheelchairs between the shelves. Ask us for anything on a high shelf.

Do you buy second-hand books?

No, but we run a book swap shelf by the door: bring one, take one.

Hoo! I'm Pip, the paper owl. Ask me for a book for a 5-year-old who loves boats, or when story time is.
